About this piece: I ran across a picture of my grandma Betty and me the other day. It felt like it needed painting in that old holy family spirit. It feels like an exploration and an offering of an expanded understanding of holiness and sacredness... not something ethereal but in the everyday... In the grandma holding her grandbaby and rollers in her hair.
My grandma gave me the last sip of her coffee, sips of her Lipton tea, and she made really good tuna casserole.
